Steel Dreadnought Games is excited to announce the release of Naval Thunder: Bitter Rivals - the first expansion for the top-selling WWII naval combat game - Naval Thunder: Battleship Row.

Naval Thunder: Bitter Rivals expands the Battleship Row core rules with 115 pages of new material, including over 130 new classes of ship, representing the fleets of Great Britain, Germany, France, and Italy, as well as data cards for merchants and transports for use in convoy games. Special nationality specific rules represent the unique character of each fleet.

Also included in Bitter Rivals are thirteen carefully researched historical scenarios featuring many of the most important naval battles of the war from the Atlantic, Pacific, and Mediterranean theaters. Scenarios range is size from small cruiser actions to huge fleet engagements.

Each scenario includes a complete order of battle, deployment map, victory conditions, situation overview and description of the historical outcome. A half-dozen new, special scenario rules - including minefields, shore batteries, mechanical breakdowns and more - allow you to confront the same challenges faced by the historical commanders.

Naval Thunder: Bitter Rivals offers fans the opportunity to play out some of the most famous naval battles in history - or to construct their own “what if” scenarios featuring some of the most famous warships in history!
