Allons-y!
Just as Doctor Who fans around the world are gearing up for The End of Time, Cubicle 7 Entertainment is bringing us a new beginning with their Doctor Who: Adventures in Time and Space roleplaying game! The boxed set contains a Gamemaster's Guide, a Player's Guide, an Adventure Book, tokens, dice, and more—over 250 pages that open up a whole universe of adventure. This all-new RPG is built around familiar mechanical concepts (characters have six major numerical attributes, and a variety of skills and traits; challenges involve rolling dice, adding stats, and comparing them to target numbers) and offers a lot of flexibility. (It might remind some gamers of the Unisystem that powers the Buffy The Vampire Slayer RPG from Eden Studios).
The first couple of products focus mainly on the current TV series—in addition to the boxed set and the GM Screen, Cubicle 7 will be releasing Aliens and Creatures, a sort of intergalactic bestiary. (Word is that future supplements will bring classic continuity into the game, starting with a UNIT boxed set in April.)
Buzz on the street is that the first print run of the core box set is relatively small, and when it goes back to press, David Tennant's spot on the cover will be taken over by Matt Smith, so if you're interested in a first printing, don't blink. Don't even blink. Er... I mean, don't delay—get your order in now!
